Kpoptown.com Review!

Hello sweeties! So I'm here today with a slightly different type of review. Today I will be reviewing my experience/purchase with kpoptown.com!

First off, I absolutely adore Got7 but I swear JYPE is trying to make me go broke! So, I ordered 2 Identify (close up version) CDs (one for me and one as a Christmas gift for a friend) and a Jackson Gotoon mug (also part of my friend's gift). After checking multiple websites, kpoptown seemed to have the best deal on shipping and prices. Overall, I had a pretty positive experience with kpoptown.

I placed the order on November 21st and it shipped out by November 27th. I then received the package on December 11th.

It was packaged very well.

There were lots of packaging peanuts and bubble wrap layered on top and around the items.

The items I ordered! Plus the albums came with posters and they both arrived in a tube and were in great condition. And thank goodness the mug was in one piece as well.

The albums were still in the plastic wrapping and Kpoptown even sent cute little calendar cards with Got7 on them!

Although after I opened my album, there were a few small damages, nothing too serious but still caught me off guard due to the fact that the album was in the plastic wrapping when it arrived.

Like I said, nothing very serious but I notified them about it and the people at Kpoptown were very nice and responded to me within 24 hours. They worked with me and they offered to refund me some of the money, which was very  kind of them to do.

Overall, this order went pretty smoothly and I will most likely order from them again. The prices were good, there are new items constantly being added, good variety, the international shipping is still expensive but it is cheaper than most websites, and they have a helpful and kind customer service team.

You can check out their website Here!
If you like Got7 or find their gotoons just absolutely adorable, click here for the Gotoon mug!
Love their new album? Love Got7 and want to show support? Love close up pics? Click here to buy their Identify Close Up album!

Promo Violet and Leopard Grey Circle Lens Review (Klenspop.com)

Hello loves! I'm back with another circle lens review! This time I am reviewing 2 pairs of circle lenses that were sent to me by Klenspop.com! Once again, they were very helpful and kind. Thankfully, this time there was no problem with the address and shipping so I was able to receive the lenses quickly and safely.

It arrived in a similar box as the one before.

The items inside were wrapped in bubble wrap to ensure that nothing would break.

I decided to try something besides brown and black, so I went for purple and gray.

Here are the lenses!

Promo Violet

I have pretty dark eyes, so the purple wasn't very vibrant on me but it still did give my eyes a dark purple tint.

The enlargement effect was very little, so these lenses actually looked pretty natural on me.

With Lenses                                                                              Without Lenses

Overall, I like them. They add a slight definition to my eyes and despite the crazy color, they show up pretty naturally on me and I could wear them without makeup. They are pretty comfortable but i still think my Corona II lenses are more comfortable.

Pros:

  • Pretty comfortable (could probably wear them for at least 3-4 hours without feeling too dry)
  • Once again, AFFORDABLE! $13 USD
  • Comes in different colors besides violet
  • natural enlargement
Cons:
  • If you have dark brown eyes and you want something vibrant/something that pops, this lens won't really do that for you
  • not much enlargement or dolly effect

On to the Polytouch Leopard Gray lenses!

With Lenses                                                                      Without Lenses

Soooo....I really really like these lenses! First off, the design on the lens is pretty fun and the gray isn't super vibrant or crazy looking but it still lightens my eye color. It is very comfortable (probably as comfortable as my Corona II lenses). And I just love how they look!

Pros:
  • Very comfortable and not drying
  • Affordable!!! $15USD
  • The gray actually shows up on my dark brown eyes
  • Natural yet still kind of dolly
Cons:
  • Only comes in Gray and Brown
  • The color is still kind of subtle so if you want something bright, this won't do much
If I had to pick my favorite lens out of the two mentioned in this review, I would have to say the Polytouch Leopard Gary lenses are by far my favorite!

Klenspop Corona II Circle Lens Review!

Hello Hello! I'm here with a review on the Corona II lenses and klenspop.com.

These lenses were sponsored by Klenspop.

So there was a lot of trouble with my residence hall address and lots of confusion occurred. But I finally got my package after about 2 weeks. The people at Klenspop were very friendly and helpful. They continuously worked with me and were super sweet!

Everything was bubble wrapped nicely to ensure that nothing would break.

They included a contact lens case with the lenses.

So let's get on with the lenses!

Brand: NEW BIO
Diameter: 14.0mm
Graphic Diameter: 13.1mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Life Span: 1 year (Max)

So here are my eyes without the lenses

And...With the lenses!

With Lenses                                                                      Without Lenses

So...I absolutely LOVE these lenses! They are very comfortable and I was able to wear them for 6 hours without my eyes feeling dried or tired. I think they might even be more comfortable than my everyday contact lenses. They are also very natural looking and I could even wear them out with very little to no eye makeup.

Pros:

  • They are very comfortable and not drying
  • They give subtle enlargement and look very natural
  • Affordable! They are only $13 USD!
  • Define your pupils but isn't too harsh

Cons:
  • If you are looking for something more dolly or dramatic, this lens won'e help you accomplish that look
  • Only comes in brown so if you don't want a brown lens, then this is not the lens for you

Overall, I enjoy these lenses a lot. I have ordered from Klenspop before (you can read my review on the lenses I ordered before, here) They are very affordable, reliable, and I enjoy ordering from them. I highly recommend you check them out!

Here's a little thing that google drive did with some of my pictures :)

Geo Grang Grang Choco and Freshlook Illuminate Review

Hello lovelies! So recently I bought two pairs of circle lenses! It has been forever since I last wore/bought circle lenses/ color lenses. I bought the Freshlook Illuminate Dailies and the Geo Grang Grang Choco lenses. I bought both of these lenses from klenspop.com

So let's get reviewing, shall we?

So this is me with your typical clear contact lenses.

Geo Grang Grang Choco

The Geo Grang Grang's were very comfortable but they were a bit too stark for my taste. The edge of the lenses were a very dark brown/black and it was a bit harsh in my opinion. Maybe if I wore a little more eyeliner and mascara, it wouldn't have looked so alien like. It may also have been that fact that my eyes are already pretty dark brown and the lenses just made my eyes look even darker, so I looked a bit scary without makeup on.

Comfort: 4.5/5
Naturalness: 3/5
Overall: 4/5

Now onto the Freshlook Illuminates. So I love the way these look! Unfortunately the comfort level on these lenses are up to par. My eyes can get kind of dry during the day and these lenses did not help. I struggled with them this morning right after I put them in. They kept slipping and sliding all over the place. I am currently wearing them as I type up this review and they are starting to strain my eyes a little even though I've only worn them for about 3.5 hours. Despite the discomfort, I love how these lenses look. They give my eyes a subtle definition and are not too harsh. The ring around the edges was a milk chocolate brown color, hence why they were less harsh than the Geos.

Comfort: 2.5/5
Naturalness: 5/5
Overall: 3.5/5

I guess the search shall continue for the perfect circle lens! If you have any suggestions for some natural looking lenses or have any questions, leave a comment and let me know! Don't forget to follow my blog or follow me on social media!

How to survive a long plane ride 101

OMG I am super excited to be going on this trip overseas! I am going to have the time of my LIFE! I'm gonna eat all the good food, shop til i drop, and go camera crazy! I can't wait until I leave!

Annnnnd then it hits you like a football...crap...the flight is going to be hours and hours long...And not to mention those economy seats seem like they were made for children under 10 and Business class is too expensive, I ain't got that kinda money! Don't even get me started on some of those meals and those tiny cramped bathrooms...So now what? How will you pull through this flight without losing your mind?

Here are my tips and tricks to make it through your flight without losing ALL of your sanity.

Tip1: Some long distance flights offer entertainment such as tv shows, movies, and games. These are your best friend. Most of the time there are more recent films along with some classics. I killed off at least 5 or 6 hours just watching Disney and Pixar movies and some TV shows like Chopped...

Tip2: Bring snacks. Airplane food is really hit or miss...most of the time a miss. So bring your favorite chips or crackers. Try to pack snacks that can go through security because airport snacks leave your wallet drained before you even get on a plane. Eating also takes up some time. I remember my airplane meals taking up about 30 minutes each time.

Tip3: Buy a drink right before you get on the plane. Since you can't bring a bottle of water or soda through security, pay the extra dollar or two to get one after you reach the terminal. This comes in handy for those really long flights. Airlines don't constantly ask you if you would like a drink and you can ask for a cup or water and whatnot but if you are thirsty, a small cup of water won't help much and you don't want to be that person that clicks the flight attendant call button like 50 times. Flights are dehydrating so bring your own water and this will also help keep you from feeling sick.

Tip4: Apps that allow offline play. You can't use wifi on the plane unless the airplane offers it and usually when they do, it doesn't come cheap. Check online beforehand and download the games before you leave. A few of the apps I used during my flight to Hong Kong this year were
- Flow Free: Kind of like connect the dots but so much more addicting
- Classic Word Free: it's like Words with Friends but it is you vs the computer and it allows offline play
- Plague Inc: Start a plague and help it slowly take over the world. It is strangely fun and a great time waster.
Or if you like to take pictures or selfies, use this time to go through pictures or edit them.

Tip5: Get crafty! Paper crafts take up time and can be fun. I made a few birthday cards on my flight. You are allowed to bring scissors as long as the blades are under 4 inches, i believe. Also from what I have heard, you may bring knitting needles and crochet hooks on board as well.

Tip6: SLEEP. Try to get a nap in or if it is overnight or a very long flight, try to fall asleep. Bring a small pillow or one of those neck cushions or even a hoodie. Snuggle up (the best you can) and try to get some shut eye. Ask for an extra pillow or a blanket from a flight attendant, most international flights have them.

Alright, well I hope that some of this was helpful for you guys! If any of you are traveling soon, I hope you all have a safe and wonderful journey!

xoxo- Nicki

My Top 5 Summer Beauty Essentials

It's summer. It's hot. And I'm a hot sweaty mess. But sometimes I need to look nice so here's my everyday summer beauty essentials!

1. BB cushion

  • These BB/CC cushions are super popular right now and I can see why! They provide a light to medium coverage and feel light on the skin. During the summer, sometimes foundation can feel suffocating and uncomfortable. BB cushions offer lightweight coverage and are relatively easy to use.
  • Which one do I recommend? I have dry skin and one of my pet peeves is when a foundation or BB cream highlights that. The one I am currently loving is the Angel Snow BB cushion by BEYOND. It gives me light coverage and gives my face an overall glow. It feels like I have nothing on my face after I put it on.
2. Oil Blotting Sheets
  • Even people with dry skin can get shiny during the summer. Excess oils can cause breakouts and plus, sometimes it can just make your face feel heavy and gross. Oil blotting sheets help remove excess oils without disturbing the makeup. They also help your face look and feel fresh.
  • Which one do I recommend? Shiseido blotting sheets. They remove the oils leaving my face feeling soft instead of greasy and they don't disturb my makeup. I usually can find them at a TJ Maxx or Marshalls.
3. Facial Mist
  • Facial/cooling mists are my Summer Savior. Especially if you are traveling or if you are outside a lot. These mists are typically water based and sometimes have different functions such as cooling, moisturizing, sebum control, and so on. They are a quick and easy way to refresh your face.
  • Which one do I recommend? Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Mist. I have the moisturizing one but they also offer a 'Sleek' version of it which helps with oil control. These mists smell wonderful and leave your face feeling refreshed. Not to mention the cute bunny packaging doesn't hurt either.
4. A fun lipcolor
  • A bright or light colored lipcolor can really help pull a look together. Sometimes all I wear is my BB cushion, mascara and a lipcolor. Some colors that are perfect for summer are coral, light pink, hot pink, or a light/bright red. Typically I go for liptints or tinted balms because they offer a more sheer application which gives a more natural yet flirty look.
  • Which one do I recommend? Tony Moly Bunny Gloss Bars and Loreal Color Riche Extraordinaire. The Bunny Gloss Bars offer a sheer color but they are moisturizing, not sticky, and give off a sweet juicy look. The Loreal Extraordinaire is more opaque but very moisturizing. It does not feel heavy, oily, or drying.
5. Bronzer
  • Bronzers can help give off a healthy sun kissed look. They can also be used for contouring to help create sharper or slimmer features. I use it to make my face look a little slimmer as well as letting it naturally add some color to my face.
  • Which one do I recommend? Too Faced Chocolate Bronzer and the NYC Sunny Bronzer. Both bronzers work well for contouring. The Too faced Chocolate bronzer smells like hot chocolate which is nice. The NYC bronzer is incredibly affordable.
So that is it for my top 5 beauty essentials for summer! Most of these items can be found and purchased online. Enjoy the rest of your sweet summer!
